Where our coppice stumps end up...

One of the things we sell from the wood is a small number of long-dead stumps from the chestnut coppice. We've not been digging them up, just taking the odd one or two we find lying on the surface after decades of very slow decay (sweet chestnut is pretty tough!). We clean them up, dry them, then take them for sandblasting.

After that they get sold for various decorative purposes, one of which is in flower arrangements. Here's a photo I was sent of some in use - the stump from us is the one near the top with the large leaf thingy coming out of it.
